Video Talk: scale, magnitude, and action

This is a short talk I gave for an invitation to the Prada Frames “Materials in Flux” symposium. The talk tries to convey the importance of thinking carefully about differences between scale and magnitude when formulating solutions to pollution and waste problems. I use case studies of mining for, and manufacturing of, electronics. I also address emissions of chemical toxicants in the industrial production of electronics. My talk at the symposium begins at approximately 25 minutes into the video.
