At Electronic Planet Research Lab (EPR Lab) we research the ecologies of digital technologies. By ‘ecologies’ we mean the relations of people, places, and things that enable digital technologies to subsist.

Our research is generally directed toward geographical, empirical, and conceptual alternatives assessments. Two areas of particular interest at EPR Lab are discardscapes and repairscrapes. These –scapes are distributed ubiquitously, although highly unevenly, in geographies on and off the planet.

The lab is located in the Department of Geography  at Memorial University of Newfoundland and directed by Dr. Josh Lepawsky.
